The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge looked into a school close to home that offered affordable tuition and a Montessori education.

Coming from an aristocratic family, Prince William, like many other parents, likes to share about his children, both their lives and their studies.

Kate has revealed that Prince George is particularly fond of swimming and that bathing him every day is not an easy task. Kate often takes the little prince swimming at Buckingham Palace. On April 8, father-of-two William showed off his daughter Charlotte's latest milestone. She is interested in sports, especially football.

“She’s a fantastic player,” the second in line to the British throne told former professional footballer Paul Elliott as they had lunch at Wembley Stadium in London. “I held Charlotte’s hand and she would kick the ball. It was a sweet moment.”

The 11-month-old princess is said to share her father's love of football. According to People, the Duke of Cambridge, who was the chairman of the Football Association (FA), is known to be a football fan. The British Prince's daughter will celebrate her first birthday on May 2 and she will soon be attending kindergarten like her brother.

Keeping the young prince and princess out of the spotlight is one of William and Kate's top priorities. They hope their children will spend their early years at a school in Norfolk. When asked about choosing a nursery for their two youngest members, a royal source shared: "The Duke and Duchess looked at a few places and found Westacre Montessori to be the best choice for George. They felt everything about the education, teachers and location were ideal for the little prince."

In January, Prince George, 2, started attending Westacre Montessori School not far from his home. Earlier, Kensington Palace quoted a school spokesperson in a press release saying: "We are looking forward to welcoming our little prince. Here, George will have a special experience, similar to the other children." Each hour of Prince William's son's lessons costs nearly 47 USD a day, cheaper than many schools in London, BBC said. George will attend school a few days a week.

Westacre Montessori School is located on a quiet road, ensuring Prince George’s privacy. It was founded in 1993 in a nearby village of the same name and moved to a former chapel about 15 years ago. It has a capacity of about 20 pupils at a time and is currently run by Rosie Reynolds, 53, the Express reported.

At Westacre Montessori, students play and learn in a large, brightly painted room decorated with children's artwork. Outside, there is a playground with artificial grass, picnic tables, slides, plastic chairs and many toy cars.

Like his father and uncle, Prince Harry, the George brothers were sent to a Montessori school. This is a pedagogical method of educating children based on the research and experience of Italian physician and educator, Maria Montessori. The outstanding feature of Montessori is the emphasis on the role of independence and freedom (within a permissible framework) in the formation of children's personalities. In addition, this method respects the natural psychophysiological development of children, as well as fully equips students with advanced and modern scientific and technological knowledge.

According to Forbes, Prince William is the first young royal to attend preschool outside the palace. Previously, royals had a tradition of hiring private tutors and studying at home. Queen Elizabeth II and her son, Prince Charles, also home-schooled. Later, the late Princess Diana, a former preschool teacher, changed this because she believed that William needed to be educated and develop alongside his peers.
