Although this is an unbelievable story, according to Mr. Hoang Quan (residing at 14/24 Le Thanh Ton, Thuan Thanh Ward), the owner of the video, confirmed that the incident was completely true. Mr. Quan said that at noon on March 24, Mr. Tran Thanh Huy (31 years old, residing at 20/24 Le Thanh Ton) came to his house to visit and told the story of Mr. Huy's aunt, Mrs. Tran Thi Chien (79 years old, residing at the same address), who was hypnotized and robbed of all her money. The incident happened right in front of Mr. Quan's house.

At this time, Mr. Quan immediately checked the camera placed in front of the house gate and discovered that the incident was exactly as Mr. Huy said. Specifically, the 3-minute video (from 6:37 to 6:40 am on March 24) recorded by Mr. Quan's camera extracted the image of a woman with her face covered, wearing a helmet and riding a blue Wave motorbike with license plate: 75H-6841. When arriving in front of the gate of 14/24 Le Thanh Ton, this person encountered Mr. Chien and stopped the vehicle.

After a few greetings, the masked woman touched the old woman’s shoulder and cheek. After these actions, the old woman gave this person her jacket and a yellow plastic bag. Next, the woman put her hand into the old woman’s shirt and took out a black bag containing money, then took the money before returning the bag to the old woman. “Even though the subject took a lot of money right in front of the old woman, she did not have any reaction. After that, the subject returned the bag to the old woman and drove away on a motorbike,” Mr. Quan added, opening the video for us to see.

According to Mrs. Tran Thi Chien, at that time she was exercising and on her way home she met this woman. When the woman greeted her, she thought she was an acquaintance so she was not alert. After the woman touched her, she lost her soul and this person took 1 million VND. It was only when she got home that she discovered that her money had been stolen.

Immediately after the incident, Ms. Chien’s family went to Thuan Thanh Ward Police Station to report the incident and ask for an investigation to clarify the matter. At the same time, Mr. Hoang Quan posted the video recorded by the family camera on Facebook.
