Who is more well-rounded?

(Baonghean.vn) - Using the Top Live Stats (TLS) application, we have compiled professional statistics on Nghe An players in the national team. We have selected Ngoc Hai, Hoang Thinh, and Cong Vinh as three players with relatively high playing time for a fun quiz.

In the national team, Que Ngoc Hai is the only player to have played in all three of Coach Huu Thang's first matches, including two friendly matches and the official match against Taiwan (China). As a center-back with fairly consistent ball skills, Que Ngoc Hai averages 4-6 successful interceptions, blocks, and ball recoveries per match. His clearances range from 7-9, demonstrating that Ngoc Hai remains a safe and reliable center-back, even with the support of teammates like Dinh Luat or Tien Thanh.

Like other players from the SLNA academy, Ngoc Hai has a fairly high tackle success rate, around 67%, and unsurprisingly, his aerial duel success rate is only 50%. This is because the central defender often tackles very hastily; opposing players only need to lightly touch the ball to miss.

Furthermore, the Taiwanese players were taller, putting Ngoc Hai at a disadvantage in challenges. Remarkably, Ngoc Hai's pass completion rate was approximately 90%, with nearly 90% of those being short passes. In the match against Taiwan, he only made 4 long passes, one of which led to Dinh Hoang's assist. The heat map shows that Que Ngoc Hai played on the left flank and barely crossed the halfway line.

Midfielder Hoang Thinh is considered an indispensable "sweeper" for the national team in the 4-1-4-1 formation. He quietly and diligently recovers the ball, allowing Tuan Anh and Xuan Truong to shine. On average, Hoang Thinh makes 50 passes per match, 100% of which are short passes with an 85% success rate. He also makes 9-10 successful interceptions, tackles, and ball recoveries per match, achieving an 80% success rate. His average number of clearances per match is 12.5, and the heat map shows that when playing in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Duy Manh present, his penetration into the opponent's penalty area is more evident.

Of course, that's why there was only one long-range shot that missed the target and no long passes. Hoang Thinh was considered at fault for his unsuccessful header that allowed Taiwan to score. His tackle success rate was only 60%, a figure considered acceptable for a midfielder, while his header success rate was 64%, much better than many central defenders.

Cong Vinh is a striker, so naturally his overall technical statistics differ from those of center-back Que Ngoc Hai. In his two debut matches for the national team, he averaged around 40 passes per game, with a success rate of 91.6%, and only 1 long pass with a success rate of 0. He created 8 chances for his teammates, scoring 4 goals, with a success rate of 50%. Although he was deployed as a left winger for many years, due to his reserve status at B.Binh Duong, his ball control wasn't as good when he joined the national team; he had 0/3 successful assists and 2/4 successful dribbles.

For me, midfielder Hoang Thi Thinh has the best technical statistics. His "worker bee" qualities allow the national team's midfield, along with Tuan Anh, Xuan Truong, and Van Toan, to freely create intricate plays in the opponent's half. Who would you choose?
