A group of young men carried out two consecutive taxi robberies in Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
(Baonghean.vn) - Before the taxi robbery in Vu Quang district (Ha Tinh), Cong, Quyet and Lam controlled, threatened and robbed a Mai Linh taxi driver of a phone worth more than 5 million VND using the same method.
On the afternoon of April 7, Hung Nguyen District Police said they were temporarily detaining Nguyen Van Lam (23 years old, residing in Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City) for robbery.

Previously, on April 4, three young men got into a Mai Linh taxi in Vinh City and asked driver Tran Duc Thuan (35 years old, residing in Nam Thanh Commune, Nam Dan District) to take them to Hung Nguyen District. When the car reached Hung Loi Commune (Hung Nguyen District), the group asked Thuan to stop the car, then held a knife to his neck, threatened him, and robbed him of two phones worth more than 5 million VND.
After receiving information from Mr. Thuan, Hung Nguyen District Police established Project 416C to investigate. At 12:00 p.m. on April 5, Hung Nguyen District Police made efforts to capture Lam, when the subject was on the run from the locality.
Lam confessed that participating in the robbery of Mr. Thuan's property were also Le Duc Cong (21 years old, residing in Dong Vinh Ward, Vinh City) and Pham Cuong Quyet (19 years old, residing in Hung Chau Commune, Hung Nguyen District).
