Passenger bus crashes into truck, two people injured

(Baonghean.vn)- On the morning of April 4, on Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street (Vinh City), a traffic accident occurred between a 16-seat passenger van and a truck, injuring two people who had to be hospitalized.

According to some witnesses, at around 9:00 a.m. on April 4, a 16-seat passenger van of Thanh Ha with license plate 37B-008.09 driven by driver Pham Hong Thanh (born in 1987, residing in Thach Ngan, Con Cuong district) was traveling from Tran Quang Khai street to Hai Thuong Lan Ong street (Ha Huy Tap ward, Vinh city).

At that moment, the passenger bus suddenly crashed into a truck with license plate 37C-188.45 (driver's identity unknown) running on Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street. The strong impact caused the truck to flip over on the road in front of house number 82, Hai Thuong Lan Ong.

The accident injured the driver and the assistant of the 16-seat passenger bus and required emergency hospitalization. Upon receiving the report, the Traffic Police of Vinh City Police quickly arrived at the scene to regulate traffic and investigate the cause of the accident.

At the scene, the truck was blocking 2/3 of Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street, with severe damage to the side of the vehicle. The 16-seat passenger van had damage to the front, and the driver’s airbag had also deployed. A lot of oil and grease were spilled on the road.

At 11:30 a.m. on April 4, the two bus companies hired a tow truck to remove the two vehicles from the scene. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
