(Baonghean.vn) - After the Lunar New Year holidays, farmers in Do Luong district continue to go to the fields to prepare the spring rice crop. It is expected that by January 20, the district will finish sowing the spring crop.

Farmers in communes in Do Luong prepare land to plant rice in the remaining areas after the cold spell.

This spring, Do Luong district planted 7,800 hectares of rice. Before Tet, farmers had sown about 30% of the area. The remaining area was sown and planted, following the direction of the agricultural sector.

After Tet, farmers in Hamlet 2, Trang Son Commune, went to the fields to plant spring rice on schedule.

After the Lunar New Year holidays, farmers continued to go to the fields to prepare the land and plant rice from the 4th day of the Lunar New Year in favorable weather conditions. Up to now, local farmers have planted more than 7,000 hectares, and about 600 hectares in the communes of Trang Son, My Son, Nam Son, Lam Son... are still being planted. It is expected that this spring crop in Do Luong will finish planting on January 20, according to the district's crop schedule.

After using agricultural machines to plow the land, farmers use buffalo power to harrow and prepare the land for rice planting.

During the cold spell before Tet, Do Luong had 300 hectares of rice and 5 hectares of seedlings die. The district directed localities to replant in time.
