The differential blasting method increases the efficiency of rock crushing, resulting in more uniform rock fragmentation, reduced excessively fine and oversized rocks, lower explosive consumption, an expanded borehole network, reduced vibration, rock scattering, and air shock waves. Using high-tech limestone mining ensures a high level of safety for workers.

Mr. Pham Van Hao, Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hoang Mai town, said: Currently, both companies are applying the non-electric differential blasting method, with a bore diameter of 102mm. This is an advanced blasting method that fully meets the requirements for minimizing vibrations and serving the sustainable development of the mining industry. Compared with the National Standard QCVN 02: 2008/BCT, the scale and method of non-electric differential blasting for stone quarrying ensure safety for the nearest structures that need protection and do not affect human health.

Thanks to the application of machinery and advanced technology, the mining capacity has reached over 68.4 million tons per year.

According to statistics, thanks to the application of machinery and high technology, the production capacity has reached over 6.84 million tons/year; of which, Hoang Mai Cement Company has a capacity of nearly 1.94 million tons/year; Nghi Son Cement Company 4.9 million tons/year. Each year, the two companies produce over 3.2 million tons of cement.

According to the mineral resource development plan for construction materials until 2020, the Hoang Mai and Quynh Luu areas will form the largest construction material mining and production zone in the north of Nghe An province, with a total regional output of 600,000 - 800,000 m³.3/year; consists of isolated limestone formations scattered across the communes of Quỳnh Trang, Quỳnh Tân, Quỳnh Lộc, Quỳnh Xuân, Quỳnh Văn, and Quỳnh Lâm.
