Intimex Cassava Starch Factory: Consumes 140,000 tons of cassava tubers/year

(Baonghean.vn) - Intimex Nghe An cassava starch factory in Thanh Chuong area has a large raw material area including Thanh Chuong, Tan Ky, Anh Son, Nghia Dan, Con Cuong, Yen Thanh, Nam Dan districts and Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh. In the 2015-2016 crop year alone, the factory achieved a consumption of 140,000 tons of cassava tubers.

Of which, cassava output in Thanh Chuong district is about 45,000 tons, Tan Ky 30,000 tons; Anh Son and Nghia Dan districts each about 15,000 tons; Con Cuong and Nghia Dan each about 10,000 tons.

Along with improving production capacity, during the development process, Intimex Nghe An cassava starch factory focuses on environmental protection, investing tens of billions of VND to build a wastewater treatment system using advanced technology, storing gas as fuel to return to drying starch. Since this crop year, the factory has put the dry cassava pulp treatment system into production to completely solve waste, without affecting the environment.
