(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the Border Guard Force's traditional day and the 27th anniversary of the National Border Guard Day (March 3, 1959 – March 3, 2016), a delegation from the Provincial People's Committee, led by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and congratulated the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard Command.

Accompanying them were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of departments and agencies; the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; and leaders of the Provincial Military Command.

Receiving the delegation, on behalf of the Provincial Border Guard Command were Colonel Dinh Ngoc Van - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard, along with the entire staff and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard Command.

Officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard were delighted to welcome the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the delegation who came to visit and congratulate them on the occasion of their traditional day.

On behalf of the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard, Colonel Dinh Ngoc Van reported on the activities of the border guards in the past period. Highlights included the firm protection of territorial sovereignty and border security; effective combat against various types of crime; and active participation in the socio-economic and cultural development of the locality.

He also expressed gratitude for the regular attention and guidance from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and provincial departments and agencies, and promised to build upon the achievements already made, striving to excellently fulfill all assigned tasks, worthy of the trust and affection of the cadres, soldiers, and people of the province.

Colonel Dinh Ngoc Van reported on the activities of the provincial Border Guard in the past period and the direction and tasks for the future.

On behalf of the Party Committee, the government, and the people of the province, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong extended his congratulations to all officers, soldiers, professional military personnel, workers, and civil servants in the Border Guard Force. He expressed his hope that the officers and soldiers of the Border Guard Force would continue to uphold their glorious traditions, achieve many outstanding victories and accomplishments in the cause of protecting the sovereignty and security of the country's borders, maintaining social order and safety, and contributing to the economic and social development of the province.

At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that in the coming time, the Provincial Border Guard Command needs to further promote the dissemination of information to the people about the Law on Borders at Sea and on Land; coordinate and direct the effective implementation of patrol work and strengthen state management of security and order along the border; and combat all types of crime.

In particular, during the preparation and conduct of the upcoming National Assembly and People's Council elections at all levels, the Provincial Border Guard Command needs to coordinate with relevant agencies, units, and localities to ensure security and order, and respond quickly to any unexpected situations that may arise, especially along the border lines.
