Dozens of trucks carrying equipment for the 'Kong: Skull Island' film crew leave Vietnam

Immediately after finishing filming in Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba, the Hollywood crew split into groups and left Vietnam.

On the afternoon of March 18, the Hollywood film crew filmed scenes for the setting in the Cong La – Ba Hang area of ​​Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh) and Tung Gau, Cat Ba (Hai Phong). These were the two final locations in the crew’s filming process in Vietnam. Immediately after completing their work, most of the crew members left, with the last group scheduled to leave on March 30.

About 220 people participated in the filming in Ha Long Bay. The Vietnamese domestic help team alone had about 100 people.

Previously, the film crew used more than 60 cars to transport the film crew and equipment from Ninh Binh to Ha Long, along with a truck and 9 containers to transport equipment and filming tools.The crew also used a helicopter to film high-altitude scenes, accompanied by a refueling vehicle.

Kong: Skull Island is a blockbuster with a production budget of 190 million USD. The film revolves around a group of explorers who go to a mysterious island and face giant apes. The film features famous actors such as Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Toby Kebbell, John C. Reilly, Thomas Mann, John Goodman and Samuel L. Jackson.

Filming began in October 2015 in Hawaii (USA). Earlier this year, the crew went to film some scenes in Quang Binh, Ninh Binh, and Quang Ninh.

Kong: Skull Island is scheduled for release in March 2017.
