Nghi Long Commune (Nghi Loc) meets new rural standards

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of March 25, the People's Committee of Nghi Long commune (Nghi Loc) held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition of the commune meeting new rural standards.

Attending the event were Mr. Vi Luu Binh - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development - Chief of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office, leaders of Nghi Loc district, local authorities and people of Nghi Long commune.

During the 4 years of building new rural areas, Nghi Long commune has mobilized 60,548 billion VND, of which the superior and local budgets, support from enterprises is 30,83 billion VND, and people contributed more than 29,72 billion VND. Upgraded and built over 13,95 km of cement concrete roads, 10 km of intra-field graded roads, 100% of the commune's traffic roads, village and hamlet axes are asphalted and concreted.

Construct, upgrade and repair 4 km more of canals, repair some basic bridges and culverts to meet production and flood control needs in the area.

Comrade Phan Sy Duong - Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Nghi Loc District Party Committee awarded 300 million VND to Nghi Long officials and people.

Pay attention to creating favorable conditions to attract investment, promote the development of small-scale industries and secondary industries. Up to now, the commune has 26 enterprises and 414 business and service households operating effectively. Thanks to that, the rate of employed laborers in the whole commune has reached over 90%, the average income per capita is 30 million VND/year, and the poverty rate has decreased to 3.8%.

At the ceremony, Mr. Vi Luu Binh - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development awarded the Certificate of Recognition of the commune meeting new rural standards and a reward of 500 million VND from the Provincial People's Committee to the People's Committee of Nghi Long commune; 4 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements also received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

On this occasion, Nghi Loc district also awarded 300 million VND to Nghi Long commune; 5 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in building new rural areas received certificates of merit from the Chairman of Nghi Loc district People's Committee.

Comrade Vi Luu Binh, authorized by the Provincial People's Committee, awarded certificates of merit to 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in the new rural construction movement.
