Giving gifts to the families of 10 martyrs who died at Gac Ma Island

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 9, in Vinh City, Tuoi Tre Newspaper coordinated with Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and Hung Thinh Company to organize a meeting and present support money to the families of martyrs who died at Gac Ma Island in Truong Sa archipelago.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Le Duc Cuong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Military Command and Nghe An Provincial Youth Union.

The total amount awarded this time is 200 million VND including 10 gifts, each worth 20 million VND for relatives of martyrs.sacrificed at Gac Ma Islandbelong to 2 provinces Nghe An and Ha Tinh, in which Nghe An has 8 places and Ha Tinh has 2 places.

Representatives of Nghe An Provincial Military Command presented gifts to relatives of martyrs who died on Gac Ma Island.

Comrade Le Duc Cuong - Deputy Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office sincerely thanked and appreciated the noble gesture of Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the sponsor in showing gratitude and remembering the sacrifices and losses of martyrs in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

He also hoped that Tuoi Tre Newspaper would continue to accompany the province to help more relatives of martyrs and families of meritorious people; Party committees and authorities at all levels would continue to pay attention to supporting families of martyrs on Gac Ma island in particular and meritorious people in general to overcome difficulties; worthy of the noble sacrifice of heroic martyrs.

Also during this period, Tuoi Tre and Readers Newspaper organized a donation ceremony for 64 martyrs who died at Gac Ma Island nationwide with a total amount of 1.28 billion VND.
