According to Decree 25/2016/ND-CP on the organization and operation charter of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) recently issued by the Government, VNPT will divest capital from 50 companies, funds, and banks.

VNPT's charter capital is 72,237 billion VND. The State is the owner of VNPT. The Government directly implements or assigns the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Information and Communications, relevant Ministries, and the VNPT Board of Members to implement the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of the State owner towards VNPT in accordance with the provisions of law and this Charter.
The management and operation structure of VNPT includes: Board of Members; General Director; Controller; Deputy General Directors, Chief Accountant; supporting apparatus: Office and Advisory Boards.
VNPT's Board of Members has 7 members. The members of the Board of Members are jointly responsible to the state owner and the law for all activities of VNPT and for decisions of the Board of Members that cause damage to VNPT and the state owner, except for members who vote against this decision; perform the obligations stipulated in this Charter, the Enterprise Law and the law.
VNPT's main business lines are trading in telecommunications, information technology, and multimedia products and services; consulting, surveying, designing, installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and leasing telecommunications and information technology works and equipment.
