Postponed trial of illegal logging of Po Mu timber
(Baonghean.vn) - The case of illegal logging of Sa Mu timber in Pu Huong Nature Reserve that Que Phong District Police discovered and arrested in Quang Phong Commune on the night of September 27, 2015 was brought to trial at the end of March.

The 7 defendants brought to trial include: Lo Van Du, Bui Van Thanh, Sam Van Thang, Sam Van Quynh, Sam Van Chung, Luong Van Tien and Sam Van Tung. However, during the trial, some new details emerged that did not match the information concluded by the investigation agency.

Therefore, the Trial Panel decided to postpone the trial; issued a decision requesting the District People's Procuracy to conduct additional investigation. Previously, as reported by Nghe An Newspaper at around 10:00 p.m. on September 27, 2015,While on patrol, Que Phong police discovered over one hundred po mu wood panels at Khe Ton bridge area, Pao village, Quang Phong commune.
When the relevant subjects saw the authorities, they fled, leaving behind a truck with license plate 37C – 101.80 at the scene. Nghe An Newspaper will continue to inform about this incident.
