Cellebrite is a subsidiary of Sun Corp, Japan, operating in two main areas: building software to support legal systems used by law enforcement, military, and intelligence agencies to obtain data from mobile devices and developing technology for mobile phone retailers.
Currently, a representative of Cellebrite company refused to comment on whether the iPhone could be hacked or not.
Apple is embroiled in a lawsuit with the US Department of Justice (DOJ) over a US court order requiring the company to write new software to disable the security code on the iPhone of the massacre perpetrator.
According to the plan, the two sides had a meeting in court on Tuesday, March 22. However, on March 21, the DOJ officially sent a request to postpone the trial with Apple to April 5 to test a new method of "hacking" the iPhone.
Cellebrite's involvement could bring a surprising end to the high-profile lawsuit between Apple and the DOJ over data privacy in the United States.
