According to our verification, the female student forced to kneel in the clip is L, a 7th grade student at Trung An Secondary School, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City. The girl holding the stick is NBN, a former student at Trung An Secondary School (1-2 grades above L), who is currently out of school.

In the clip, N holds a rather long stick, threatening L and offering L three forms of "punishment" to choose from: one is to "eat" three sticks; two is to kneel down and apologize and eat sand; three is to fight with N with bare hands (while N is holding the stick).

Under pressure from N and his friends, L knelt down to apologize. But N insisted on forcing L: “Why? I don’t like to talk too much” while using his feet to gather sand for L. to eat with his hands.

When L was given sand to eat, he felt uncomfortable and spit it out. N ordered: “Why are you spitting it out when you’re eating? Pick it up! Quickly!”. Then, N raised his voice: “Swallow! Are you going to swallow it?”.

It is worth mentioning that N. asked his friends to film the clip.

Although the incident happened right on the street, with many students standing around watching, the students did not intervene but instead showed interest.

At the end of the clip, a friend of N. came out to stop him: "Stop it, stop it" when he saw N forcing L. to swallow sand.

According to the report sent by Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong, principal of Trung An Secondary School to the Department of Education and Training of Cu Chi, L. and N. are both residing in Trung An Commune, Cu Chi District. The reason for the incident was that the two students had a conflict with each other before and made an appointment to meet to resolve it.

Meanwhile, a relative of L. said: The incident happened on the afternoon of April 12. When L was returning from school, N and his group of friends stopped him, forcing L and two friends from the same school to go to an area more than 1 km away from the school to resolve the matter.

The reason was that before that, N. was driving his motorbike on the street, when he passed L. and L's friends (who were riding their bikes home from school), N. turned around and asked: "Who cursed me?".

L.'s group replied that no one cursed N, they were just laughing and joking with each other. N. did not believe it and thought that L. was the one who cursed him.

A few days later, N. waited until school was over and beat L. once on the way home, but felt unsatisfied so he thought of a way to torture L. again.

It was not until L.'s family's neighbors saw the clip online that L.'s parents learned the full story.
