Although the contest deadline is still nearly a month away, it seems that the bright candidates for National Geographic magazine's photo contest are gradually emerging.

National Geographic magazine has long been considered a place for travel photographers to "entrust" their brainchildren. Every year, the photo contest initiated and organized by National Geographic attracts thousands of photographers from around the world to gather and compete with the best works in the landscape - travel genre.

The 2016 National Geographic Travel Photo Contest is no exception. This year’s entries were judged to be of high quality, consistent, suggesting many new and unique angles and frames, breaking away from the archetypes and standards of photography. Although the contest deadline was extended to May 27, the judges had a headache with hundreds of truly impressive entries.

The grand prize of the competition is a 7-day trip for two to explore a polar bear park in Canada. However, for many photographers, being honored and named in such a prestigious competition is a great source of pride for them.
