(Baonghean.vn) – In Tru Son commune (Do Luong, Nghe An), a black credit scandal involving billions of dong has just occurred, causing dozens of people to panic and worry.

According to Mr. Dang Van Hanh - Deputy Chief of Tru Son Commune Police, from the end of March to the beginning of April 2016, Tru Son Commune People's Committee received a petition from 14 households accusing Ms. Tran Thi Ha (Hamlet 10, Tru Son Commune, Do Luong District) of borrowing money with interest but has not yet paid it back. The total amount that these 14 households lent Ms. Ha was more than 2 billion VND.

People who lent money to Ms. Ha are worried and confused.

According to the petition, these people lent money to Ms. Ha at an interest rate of 2%/month. However, when the deadline came, they came to ask for the money but she kept delaying them again and again.

Of the 14 people who wrote the complaint, the person who lent Ms. Ha the most money was more than 474 million VND, the person who lent the least was 20 million VND. These people also said that Ms. Ha started borrowing in 2014 and most recently in the last 1-2 months. It is worth mentioning that the borrowing and lending procedures were very simple, with only a few handwritten lines.

After receiving the complaint from the people, the People's Committee of Tru Son commune established a group to handle the complaint and organized two working sessions with relevant parties. Ms. Ha was absent at the first session. On the second session on April 1, Ms. Ha came to work and admitted that the content of the complaint was true.

Also at this meeting, Ms. Ha filed a complaint against many other people in the communes of Tru Son, Dai Son, and Hien Son (Do Luong) who are borrowing 4.6 billion VND from her but have not yet paid.

After the meeting, Tru Son commune authorities asked Ms. Ha to meet with the families from whom she borrowed money to negotiate and give her a 10-day extension. If Ms. Ha does not return the money, the commune will report to the authorities to resolve the matter.

However, after 10 days, Ms. Ha still has not paid the people. In the face of this situation, Tru Son Commune Police reported the incident to Do Luong District Police to investigate and clarify the case.
