Tran Hoai Bao had a “glorious” high school years because he was an excellent student in all 12 years of high school. During his high school years, Bao was an excellent student in the Math major at Vinh University and continuously received the school’s first-class scholarship.

With those results, it was no surprise when Bao was admitted to the National Economics University. However, the new environment also comes with many "pitfalls".

At that time, the thing Bao had the most was time. So after school, Bao often went to Internet cafes near the school with his friends. Gradually, Bao became addicted to games without realizing it.

There was a time when Bao forgot to go to school because he was so engrossed. His academic performance began to decline. Bao would continue to decline if he did not receive his academic results one day with many subjects with "unbelievably" low scores.

This was a huge shock not only to Bao but also to his family. Many nights, lying alone in his rented room, Bao was confused and did not know where his future would lead.

Faced with so many doubts, Bao finally decided to drop out of school. At that time, his friends also advised him a lot because if he tried hard, he would only have one year left to graduate. But then, Bao thought: There will still be a lot of time to study. But if he keeps getting lost in games, he will lose himself.

After taking a break from school, Bao decided to take the entrance exam to Vinh University to continue the family tradition. And then, not letting his parents down, after only a few months of studying, Bao was admitted to the Faculty of Mathematics Education, Vinh University with a fairly high score.

Since deciding to choose the path of teaching, Bao has completely changed as a person. He is calmer, more mature and knows how to listen to everyone. In the Mathematics Pedagogy class, Bao is also one of the oldest students so he is trusted by his classmates. In terms of studying, everyone respects Bao because he has a very good foundation in mathematics and is really talented in mathematics. Right in his first year at Vinh University, Bao was selected to join the school team to participate in the Math Olympiad and won second prize in Analysis.

In addition, during his 3 years at Vinh University, Bao also had many other achievements such as: 5 Good Students at the provincial level, Certificate of Merit from the Central Youth Union, Odon Vallet Scholarship... This April, for the second time, he represented Vinh University to participate in the 2016 National Mathematics Olympiad for Students and Pupils and was one of the 10 best students to win first prize in Algebra. In addition, Bao also won second prize in Analysis.

Bao's biggest dream now is to study well so that he can stay at the school and become a university lecturer. "Be grateful for the times when you encounter difficulties, because without difficulties, you will not have the opportunity to understand yourself and experience life"... Bao confided.
