Is Maxken water purifier manufacturing facility really 'not in violation'?

May 11, 2016 16:59

(Baonghean) -The Maxken water purifier manufacturing facility was confirmed by Market Management Team No. 1 as having 'no violations detected'. That made us and those who were interested in the case extremely surprised and indignant.

Máy lọc nước Maxkel mà Công ty TNHH Hồng Hà bán cho người dân xã Đỉnh Sơn (Anh Sơn) không có xuất xứ rõ ràng
The Maxkel water purifier that Hong Ha Company Limited sold to people in Dinh Son commune (Anh Son) has no clear origin.

Through a series of articles published in Nghe An electronic newspaper and Nghe An daily newspaper on May 5, 2016, as well as from the reality that we, the people, directly used, it shows that the origin of the Maxken brand water purifier assembled and manufactured by Hong Ha Technology Development Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Vinh City) has unusual signs. That is a sign of labeling violation; about a component that does not match the advertised origin (imported from the US).

We understand that, along with reporting the incident on Nghe An newspaper, the group of reporters also informed the authorities (QLTT) about their suspicions. Moreover, the reporters also directly accompanied the inspection team (by QLTT Team No. 1 in coordination with Dien Chau District Police) to visit the production facility of Hong Ha Joint Stock Company located in Dien Tho commune twice to investigate and examine.

Có rất nhiều điều đáng quan ngại khi chứng kiến xưởng sản xuất này. Trong đó có việc xuất hiện một loạt linh kiện máy lọc nước trên đó không thể xuất xứ nguồn gốc.
At the factory there are a series of water purifier components of unknown origin.

Here, the reporter and some members of the inspection team pointed out to the director of the production facility violations such as incorrect labeling, a series of 'fake' labels, including 'imported goods' labels, most of the components did not have the origin as advertised... and the owner of the facility admitted.

The violations of State regulations that occurred at the Maxken water purifier manufacturing facility, of which Mr. Vo Van Luyen is the director, were clear, but the inspection team still concluded that "no violations were detected (?). What a strange thing!

Cán bộ Đội Quản lý thị trường số 1 kiểm tra tem nhãn máy lọc nước Maxken trong ngày 29/4.
Officers of Market Management Team No. 1 checked the labels of Maxken water purifiers on April 29.

The above incident shows that the cover-up and tolerance of some violations by some officials of functional agencies is not only cleverly concealed but also quite blatant and brazen.

It is undeniable that the provincial market management force has made remarkable achievements in recent times in the fight against smuggling, banned goods, counterfeit goods, and dirty food. However, although it is impossible to assign responsibility for the above incident to the Market Management Department, it can still be affirmed that the above-mentioned 'inspection' style certainly contributes significantly to the phenomenon of counterfeit goods, fake goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin... that are 'flooding' as it is today!
