French and US fighter jets flatten IS bomb-making facility
According to Reuters, on May 1, the French Defense Ministry said that French and US fighter jets destroyed an Islamic State (IS) facility in Iraq, which was used by Sunni extremists to manufacture bombs and vehicles in large quantities to carry out suicide attacks.

"The destroyed facility is located in the town of Al-Qaim on the Iraq-Syria border, and required two separate airstrikes to destroy it due to its large area," the ministry said in a statement.
