According to the Maritime World News website, on May 4, the oil tanker Tamaya 1 suddenly washed ashore in Liberia after 3 weeks missing.

It is known that the Tamaya 1 ship was built in 1980, with a capacity of 1,441 tons. The ship departed from Panama and its expected destination was the port of Dakar, (Senegal). However, on April 22, the Tamaya ship suddenly disappeared from the navigation map.

When the Tamaya 1 washed ashore, the fishermen were surprised to find no crew on board. They immediately called the police.

At present, the investigation agency has not yet given an official cause for the Tamaya to run ashore. However, many hypotheses have been put forward. It is very possible that the ship was attacked by pirates and the sailors were captured. Or the ship's owner went bankrupt and had no money to pay the crew, so they abandoned the ship.
