Bad story turns good
(Baonghean) - The matter, as a leader said, is indeed “as small as a fingernail”. But even the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and the Prime Minister had to intervene, so it is not that small!
That is the story of the owner of a pho and coffee shop in the city, because he was eager to make money right away and maybe because he chose a good day, so he opened his shop before receiving his business license and was immediately prosecuted by the Binh Chanh District Police (Ho Chi Minh City) for "illegal business". It is a true story but it seems like a lie because it is not a dangerous or urgent matter like a house fire or a death that requires such emergency measures. Moreover, this is a normal civil matter of doing business to make a living, not robbery or murder, so why classify it as a criminal offense and then urgently prosecute it.
From this unusually unusual way of doing things, the press got involved to expose the matter. In the end, people guessed (guessed) but did not come to a conclusion. Although it was speculation, people believed it immediately because it had a basis in reality. Because that restaurant was opened right next to the district police station. In the district police station, there was also a canteen selling food and drinks. That means both were selling the same products. Unfortunately, this restaurant was opened right next to the police station, and its location was better outside, so there was a risk of "stealing" customers from the canteen.
That canteen was rented. Of course, the person who rented the canteen in that unique place was not an ordinary person. That means he had to have some deep relationship with someone of high status in the station to be given the privilege of sitting there to sell goods. While making a good living, suddenly someone was looking to compete and share the profits, so who wouldn't "have an itchy right eye and a red left eye". So, with "military power" already in hand... What happened next, the press has already told us, no need to repeat it here. Coming here, I suddenly remembered and admired the talent of a great poet from Nghe An, who more than three hundred years ago had concluded "One day, the strange habit of the police/ Causing harm was all for money". Until now, it is still relevant.
Fortunately and unexpectedly, that “small as a fingernail” matter alarmed the Government and the leader intervened to stop it. Otherwise, that restaurant owner would probably be in court today. The Prime Minister did so, he must have “read” what was behind that strangely hasty and hasty series of actions by the Binh Chanh Police.
And he also imagined how this small incident would affect the people's trust in the regime, so he ordered it to stop. Nghe An people are inherently optimistic, not only seeing the cruelty and inhumanity in this heartbreaking incident but also seeing the positive side. That is, the Prime Minister's direction shows the great determination of the new Government in building a democratic, fair, and civilized society right from the smallest things. That's where the bad things turn out to be good!
