At approximately 4:30 AM on April 16th, a multi-vehicle accident involving three cars occurred near Mung Bridge, close to the intersection of the Vinh city bypass and provincial road 542C, in Hung Nguyen town, Hung Nguyen district.

Witnesses reported that at the time of the incident, a 16-seater passenger van with license plate 18B 01630, driven by Nguyen Van Loc (born in 1986) and carrying 15 passengers, all residents of Nam Dinh province, was traveling from Nghe An to Ha Tinh and was stopped at a traffic light at the Vinh city bypass intersection with provincial road 542C when it was suddenly rear-ended by a truck with license plate 86C 05810 (driver's identity unknown) traveling in the same direction.

The tourist vehicle was completely crushed.

The truck sustained damage to its front end.

The powerful impact pushed the tourist vehicle 18B 01630 forward, causing it to crash into the rear of the passenger bus 51B 17537, driven by Le Van Hiep (born in 1975), which was also stopped at the red light ahead. This caused the bus to skid about 5 meters on the road surface.

The accident resulted in injuries to 11 people on the tourist bus 18B 01630. Upon receiving the report, the 115 emergency medical team in Nghe An dispatched several vehicles to the scene and transported the 11 victims, all residents of Nam Dinh province, for emergency treatment.

The victims are currently receiving treatment at Hospital 115.

At the scene, the passenger car 18B 01630 was completely wrecked, with its windows and mirrors crushed. Meanwhile, the truck 86C 05810 was also severely damaged at the front. The passenger bus 51B 17537 sustained damage to its rear.

After causing the accident, the unidentified male driver of the truck with license plate 86C 05810 fled the scene.

The accident caused a long traffic jam on the Vinh city bypass in this area.

The police in Hung Nguyen district arrived at the scene shortly afterward to investigate and handle the incident.
