Tran Thanh receives a double win at the Television Awards.

The male artist was honored in the category for MC and comedian at the awards ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on the evening of April 23.

The Ho Chi Minh City Television Awards ceremony took place at the Hoa Binh Theater, with the participation of over 100 artists and many audience members. This award honors artists who have contributed to the development of television in various fields: drama, music, presenters, Cai Luong (traditional Vietnamese opera) artists, models, etc.

Tran Thanh attracted attention by winning two consecutive awards: "Best Presenter" and "Most Popular Comedian". Speaking on stage to accept the awards, Tran Thanh emotionally expressed his gratitude to the audience for their support despite the many setbacks he has faced in his work and personal life recently.

The 2016 Ho Chi Minh City Television Awards removed several categories, such as "Most Popular Music Video," and awards for contributions to the fields of television and music. The "Most Popular Television Presenter" category was no longer separated by gender as in previous seasons.

This year, the show has invested heavily in the dance performances on stage. Each dance has a beginning, middle, and end that tells a story. Contestants who have matured through previous seasons of "Dancing with the Stars" bring viewers visually stunning performances, meticulously arranged with sound, lighting, and costumes.
