(Baonghean.vn) - Nghi Lam mountainous commune is known as a peaceful countryside with developed economic, cultural and social life of Nghi Loc district.

Nghi Lam Commune Party Committee has 323 party members, operating in 23 party cells. To bring the study and following of Uncle Ho's moral example into life, the Commune Party Committee has thoroughly disseminated and deployed it to cadres and party members in conjunction with the implementation of emulation movements and local political tasks.

Currently, the whole commune has 150 hectares with an income of over 70 million VND/ha/year. Particularly, 55 hectares of shallots in the area earn approximately tens of billions of VND each year.

In the past 5 years, Nghi Lam has seen the emergence of economic models combining agriculture, forestry and livestock raising, generating incomes of 50 to 500 million VND/year. The implementation of democratic regulations has been effective, all issues are made public and transparent in the spirit of "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect".

Cultural and social life has improved, many clubs have been established, such as: preventing domestic violence and building sustainable families, sports clubs... neighborhood relationships have been strengthened, there are no conflicts, complaints, social evils, security and order are stable.

Up to now, the poverty rate of Nghi Lam commune is only 4.6%. The average income per capita is 31.8 million VND/person/year. In 2015, the commune was recognized as meeting the new rural standards and received the excellent emulation flag of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for typical new rural construction 2010-2015.

In particular, the Party Committee was recently voted as a typical provincial-level collective in implementing Directive 03 of the Politburo on promoting studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings.
