Russia takes 100 foreign reporters on press tour in Syria

The Russian Defense Ministry has just organized a press tour to Syria for foreign reporters.

Nearly 100 foreign journalists from 26 countries have arrived in Syria as part of a press tour recently organized by the Russian Defense Ministry.

About 100 reporters from 26 countries are taking part in a press tour to Syria organized by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"This is the seventh press tour to Syria organized by Russia for foreign journalists," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov told reporters on May 4, upon arriving at the Hmeimim airbase.

Mr. Konashenkov added that with tours organized by the Russian Ministry of Defense, about 400 foreign reporters and 400 Russian journalists have traveled to Syria on assignment.

According to the general, on May 4, journalists will see the work of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Parties in Syria. They will see how excellent, effective and important the center is. Then they will see the living conditions of Russian servicemen at the Hmeimim base.
