Gang of young men specializing in robbing people to get money for gaming arrested.
The Criminal Investigation Agency of Thai Binh Provincial Police has just arrested and detained six members of a gang of young people born in the 1990s who specialized in robbing people with knives and swords to get money to play video games.
The police in Thai Binh province announced that the case was officially opened this morning, May 15th.
According to initial information, all six robbers are in their 20s and reside in Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province, including: Pham Ba Tuyen (17 years old) and Dao Xuan Hai (22 years old), both residing in Thuong Hien commune; Nguyen Dinh Tuyen (19 years old) and Nguyen Xuan Hiep (16 years old), both residing in Nam Cao commune; Pham Van Tuyen (17 years old) and Khuc Duy Ngoc (22 years old), both residing in Le Loi commune.

Previously, the Thai Binh Provincial Police received information that over the past few months, several robberies had occurred on roads in Kien Xuong district. A common characteristic of these robberies was that the victims were all people traveling to the market by motorbike, and the incidents occurred before dawn.
Through reviewing suspected individuals and applying investigative measures, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Public Security Bureau of Thai Binh province identified the six suspects as the perpetrators of these robberies.
By May 7th, the Thai Binh Provincial Police had simultaneously arrested all six suspects.

All six confessed that they chose the early morning hours to ambush people on deserted roads with little traffic. When they spotted people going to the market or work early on motorbikes, they would surround and block them, threatening them with machetes and swords to successfully rob them in four robberies in Kien Xuong district. After the robberies, they sold the stolen property to get money to play video games.
The police in Thai Binh province have temporarily detained the six suspects for investigation.
