Revelations about the youngest provincial chairman in the country.

The new Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh, has a father who was once the Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, holds a doctorate degree, and rose through the ranks from the grassroots level... In the eyes of the people of Ha Tinh, Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh is a creative, capable, and enthusiastic person.

On the morning of April 21st, the People's Council of Ha Tinh province held its 16th session and elected Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh, alternate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. The voting results showed that Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh received 100% of the votes for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province for the 2016-2021 term.

As a member of the "70s generation" (referring to the 1970s generation), Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh has held many positions, rising from the grassroots, and in every role, he has excelled in his assigned tasks. Having been elected Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh has become the youngest Chairman of a Provincial People's Committee in the country. "This is a source of pride for Ha Tinh, placing high expectations on the people of Ha Tinh, and it is also a great challenge for young people like Comrade Khanh. I understand that Comrade Khanh comes from a family with a strong political background, has received thorough training, and has held many positions from the grassroots level, from deputy to head of various specialized departments... Despite his young age, I believe that with his experience, he and the new administration will be able to overcome the difficulties and challenges facing the province," Mr. Nguyen Ky, former Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee from 1991-1995, shared with a reporter from Dan Viet newspaper.

According to Mr. Ky: "The recent 12th National Party Congress showed that the Party has undergone significant changes with many young, highly qualified cadres. Therefore, this provincial leadership election in Ha Tinh is no different. Consequently, not only I but also the people have high expectations for this young leadership team. Besides being proactive, they must know how to listen to the people's opinions and be even more closely connected with them."

Mr. Tran Bau Ha, Secretary of the Nghi Xuan District Party Committee, stated: “Comrade Dang Quoc Khanh’s significant achievement during his nearly three years as Secretary of the Nghi Xuan District Party Committee (from 2010-2013) was the issuance of a Resolution on agricultural restructuring, clearly outlining the district’s advantageous areas for agricultural economic development. This Resolution is still being implemented vigorously by the District Party Committee. Under Comrade Khanh’s leadership, the district also developed a comprehensive plan for urban development linked to tourism. Nghi Xuan, once a poor district, has become a shining example of new rural development, with four communes now having achieved the goals.”

Speaking to a reporter from Dan Viet newspaper, Mr. Hoang Huu Hiep, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghi Xuan district, said: “During his years working in the district, Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh left many significant marks in formulating resolutions for strong economic development. From a personal perspective, I see Dang Quoc Khanh as someone who dares to speak up, dares to act, and dares to take responsibility. In his work, he speaks frankly about mistakes and doesn't let personal feelings get in the way.”

It is known that Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh (born in 1976) is from Tien Dien commune, Nghi Xuan district. Mr. Khanh is the son of Mr. Dang Duy Bau, former Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Khanh holds a PhD in Urban and Construction Management. Prior to being elected Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Khanh held various positions including Deputy Director and Director of the Department of Construction of Ha Tinh Province, Secretary of the Nghi Xuan District Party Committee, Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the province, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh Province, and Deputy Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee...
