Promoting tourism between Nghe An and Gifu (Japan)
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the Gifu provincial delegation's visit and working trip to Nghe An, and to promote friendly cooperative relations between the two provinces, an opening ceremony for an exhibition space promoting Nghe An-Gifu tourism destinations took place on the afternoon of May 23rd at Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh City.
Attending the ceremony, on behalf of Gifu Prefecture were Governor Hajime Furuta, Chairman of the House of Representatives Seigo Yajima, representatives of Japanese government agencies and businesses, etc.
Representing Nghe An province were: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders from various departments and agencies; and representatives of businesses.

Before the opening ceremony began, the Gifu delegation and the leaders of Nghe An province laid wreaths at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of the Vietnamese nation.
Organizing the Nghe An-Gifu tourism exhibition and promotion space is an important event to introduce to local people and international friends the tourism and cultural potential of Vietnam and Japan in general, and Nghe An and Gifu in particular, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and promoting tourism cooperation.

Visitors to the exhibition space will experience the beauty of Gifu and Nghe An's culture and tourism through attractive and colorful posters, pictures, and guidebooks. By jointly organizing this exhibition space, Nghe An and Gifu hope to create a cultural and tourism exchange between the two localities, contributing to the effective and extensive development of bilateral friendship.

Earlier, the Gifu Prefecture delegation visited the Dong Vinh safe vegetable production area in Hung Dong commune, Vinh City. The total production area is 23.1 hectares, with 250 diligent workers who have experience in vegetable cultivation since 1976, bringing in a relatively high and stable income compared to some other crops.

Later that evening, Nghe An and Gifu provinces also jointly organized an art exchange in Vinh City, further strengthening the friendship between the two sides and reinforcing the cultural ties between Vietnam and Japan through captivating performances showcasing rich national identities.
