Nghe An: Arrested a subject circulating more than 15 million VND in counterfeit money

(Baonghean.vn)- Nhon Mai Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) has just coordinated with other forces to catch a subject in the act of storing counterfeit money in the area.

Accordingly, at 10:00 a.m. on May 17, at Nhon Mai village, Nhon Mai commune (Tuong Duong district), Nhon Mai Border Guard Station coordinated with Tuong Duong district police to catch Tho Ba Chia, born in 1981, hometown in Muong Long village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, in the act of storing and circulating 1 million VND in polymer money suspected to be counterfeit, with a face value of 200,000 VND.

Expanding the investigation and searching this subject's house, the authorities seized an additional 14.4 million VND of the same denomination.

Currently, the subject has been escorted and handed over to Tuong Duong District Police for further investigation and handling according to the provisions of law./.
