Looking at the present spacious facilities, few people know that, before 1995, Muong Noc Commune Health Station had to temporarily "take refuge" at the old facility of the district general hospital. At this time, the entire facility was degraded; moreover, people's awareness of health care was not focused on, so mobilizing people to have health check-ups still encountered many difficulties.

Doctor Vo Thi Phuong - Head of the Commune Health Station, recalls: At that time, the concept of vaccinating children in Muong Noc commune was very strange to the people in the highlands, because the awareness and understanding of parents here was limited. Therefore, the doctors and nurses working at the station often took the opportunity to go to each village, to each house to do propaganda and mobilization work; even had to bring medicine to directly inject children at home. The most difficult thing was to encounter conservative parents, forcing the doctors and nurses to spend a lot of effort to convince them, and even being avoided and chased away by them...

By 2000, Muong Noc Commune Health Station was moved to a new facility, located in Na Nga village with a level 4 house, with 4 cramped working rooms. With the attention and sponsorship of some equipment from the Japanese organization JICA such as oxygen tanks, fetal heart monitors, heaters, urine testing machines; plus good communication work, people's awareness of primary health care work has made much progress. By 2012, Bao Viet Group also invested in and built a 2-storey office building for the station, with 8 functional rooms; RBF Project and IVEN Project equipped the station with some necessary medical equipment; District People's Committee invested in building some ancillary works located in the station premises... the appearance of the health station has changed greatly.

Thanks to that, Muong Noc Commune Health Station is now considered one of the few medical units in the district that has built the most magnificent and solid infrastructure and facilities. There are currently 6 staff working at the station, along with 16 medical staff distributed in 16 villages and hamlets. Every year, the station fully implements, achieves good quality, meets 100% of the targets of the National Health Target Programs, such as: Program to prevent dangerous epidemics, social diseases, HIV/AIDS; food hygiene and safety program, Population/Family Planning program, school health program, environmental sanitation program...

In particular, the station has full capacity to perform techniques according to the technical regulations of the Ministry of Health; On average, each year, the commune health station has organized medical examination and treatment for 8,476 patients; reaching 1.33 times/person/year. In November 2015, Muong Noc Commune Health Station was the representative unit of the commune recognized to meet the National Criteria for Health in the period 2015 - 2020, with 90.5/100 points.
