The province's poverty reduction support policies have created conditions for poor districts and communes to have more investment resources to develop production, increase the efficiency of using labor time for people, and change the structure of crops and livestock in the area. There have been positive changes in the material and spiritual life of people in communes in 8 districts, which have been clearly improved.

On average, the poverty rate in 42 communes benefiting from the policy decreased by 4.87% per year (from 56.71% in early 2011 to 37.24% in early 2015). Seven out of 42 communes had a poverty rate below 30% according to the multidimensional poverty standard for the period 2016-2020. Contributing to political stability, economic and social development and reducing social evils in the area.

At the meeting, many opinions said that the province needs to review the support and support objects, avoid overlap in the implementation process and be truly suitable and effective in real life. Especially the policy of rotating, increasing staff and attracting young intellectuals to work in communes, supporting labor export, hardening livestock barn floors, supporting businesses and production facilities to invest in production and service business activities in poor communes.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Duong requested the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to receive comments from departments and branches to complete, supplement and draw out points that need to be overcome. The policy mechanism and support for poor households in areas with a poverty rate of 30% or more, outside of the 30a program, need to have specific benchmarks for evaluation.

Communes that benefit from the program must have specific goals. Regarding the establishment of standards to support policies, the level for forest protection and development must be more realistic. Regarding the list of support policies, transfer support for enterprises doing labor export to direct support for poor households going to work abroad in areas with a poverty rate of 30% or more, with a specific list of support. At the same time, transfer support for hardening barn floors to support for building barns for poor households of 2 million VND/household. Periodically, review and evaluate the results of program implementation every 2 years.
