Dealing with fake multi-purpose pan salesman in school during meeting time

The Department of Investigation Police on Economic Management Order and Official Positions of Quang Ngai Province Police has investigated and handled subjects marketing and selling products of unknown origin at schools in the area.

During April 2016, a number of young men who introduced themselves as employees of Tan A Trade Promotion Joint Stock Company, in Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi City, went to primary schools, secondary schools and kindergartens in Quang Ngai City to sell products such as multi-purpose pans and flashlights at high prices.

It is worth mentioning that this group of young people introduced their products during school meetings. The reason why this group of young people entered the schools to sell their products was because they had an introduction letter from Tan A Company and a scholarship program for each school of 500,000 VND. Selling products during school meetings caused dissatisfaction among teachers.

Number of multi-purpose pans and fake flashlights seized

Through the information, the Department of Investigation Police on Economic Management Order and Positions of Quang Ngai Provincial Police investigated and caught a subject selling products at a school in the area. The subject is Le Thanh Tuan (born in 1989), residing in Dong Huu Commune, Yen The District, Bac Giang Province.

All products sold by Tuan have no license, no origin, no source... At the police station, Tuan said that his group contacted the schools themselves to enter, and sold to any school that wanted to buy, without going through any management agency.

One director but two different signatures

The Department of Investigation of Crimes on Economic Management Order and Positions of Quang Ngai Province Police has handled Tuan for the acts of selling goods of unknown origin, smuggled goods, without invoices and documents; selling goods at higher prices than the actual price; without a business license. Among them, there are some products such as flashlights with labels from China. Currently, many teachers have lost money because of buying these fake products.

Tuan confessed that, in addition to promoting the number of flashlights with the multi-purpose pan products sold, if any teacher wants to buy a flashlight separately, Tuan's group will sell it for 200,000 VND/piece. Meanwhile, the selling price on the market is only 40,000 VND/piece. Currently, this group has sold many products at 8 schools in Quang Ngai city. Notably, this group of young people has many letters of introduction from Tan A Company, signed by a director but the signatures are different.

Currently, the police have temporarily detained 1 car and 12 boxes of products of unknown origin from the group to continue the investigation. Whether any local functional unit introduced this group of subjects selling products of unknown origin to operate at schools during meeting hours, the Police Department of Investigation of Crimes on Economic Management Order and Position of Quang Ngai Provincial Police is continuing to consolidate the records and investigate to clarify.
