The first thing was to pack up and go to Nghe An to learn how to play football from SLNA. Thanks to the knowledge and experience accumulated from the most excellent training model at that time, these "students" returned to build a youth training center similar to SLNA's in Da Nang city.

A clear demonstration of the close relationship between SLNA and Da Nang is that in 1999, Da Nang hosted the National U21 Finals, SLNA reinforced the Da Nang U21 team with its brightest faces. Players Nguyen Thanh Cong, Ha Mai Giang, Quang Tho, Vo Duc Lam... helped the Da Nang U21 team win the runner-up position (losing to The Cong U21 0-1 in the final match).

The achievements that Da Nang football achieved a short time later, had a great contribution from SLNA. And after the 2000 U16 Asian Cup, SLNA transferred to Da Nang a number of quality players, typically Truong Quang Tuan, who scored the decisive goal in the 3-2 victory of U16 Vietnam against U16 China.

Later, when SHB took over, Da Nang football no longer had any contact with SLNA. When the "gratitude" faded, the "grudge" quickly arose. From a "close friendship" it turned into "irreconcilable differences". Many times, between SHB.DN and SLNA, there were tense clashes both on and off the field.

For example, every time he comes to Vinh Stadium, Coach Le Huynh Duc accuses the home team of playing dirty. After the match between SLNA and SHB.DN ends, in the press conference room, the former CATP.HCM player always harshly criticizes the home team: "SLNA players are fighting, not playing football", "when coming to Vinh Stadium to play, it's best to lose 0-3 to save your life"...

And such a refrain has been repeated over and over again for nearly 10 years. One thing is for sure, it will continue in the next season. Da Nang football, or specifically SHB.DN in recent years, has considered SLNA as its rival. The time of "crowing together" has been transformed into "...crowing at each other".

The scandal after Anh Khoa's injury from Que Ngoc Hai's tackle was the peak of the "bad rice, bad soup" situation between SLNA and SHB.DN in recent times. The Nghe defender's mistake in that tackle is indisputable, but the fact that SHB.DN's leadership showed "fake behavior" is worth discussing. Comparing SHB.DN's behavior with Que Ngoc Hai next to B.Binh Duong's behavior, it is truly ironic.
