On the afternoon of May 6, the Economic and Official Crime Investigation Police Team of Thuan An Town (Binh Duong Province) coordinated with the Market Management Department to suddenly inspect Hoang Giao Production - Trading Company Limited (located in Hoa Lan 2 Quarter, Thuan Giao Ward, Thuan An Town), specializing in the production and distribution of cosmetic products.

At the time of inspection, authorities discovered many cosmetic ingredients stored in plastic containers scattered in a rather sketchy production area. These ingredients were mixed with chemicals, put into a machine, and then packaged into skin whitening cosmetics.

Behind the production area, hundreds of products have been packaged and labeled with many types of high quality cosmetics, ready to be sold.

Authorities discovered a company producing skin whitening cosmetics suspected to be of poor quality.

Authorities also discovered that many types of chemicals were contained in nylon bags that had not been put into production. Through inspection, many types of body whitening creams were mixed with many types of chemicals such as: acne treatment cream, melasma cream, scar fading cream, skin whitening cream - anti-aging cream.

Cosmetic boxes produced here are priced from 200,000 - 300,000 VND. Further inspection of the production area, the authorities discovered a large amount of labels stored in the warehouse.

According to the functional inspection team of Binh Duong province, Hoang Giao Company violated the following errors: producing cosmetics at an unqualified facility and not in accordance with GMP standards.

Police are working with those involved in the incident.

The ingredients of the production materials are not imported as declared; the products are suspected of being of poor quality; the products are counterfeiting the cosmetic brands of other companies. In particular, the products have not been produced yet but a large number of labels are pre-printed with the production date and expiration date...

On the same afternoon, all types of cosmetics suspected of being of poor quality and machinery and equipment used for production were seized by authorities for processing.

Hoang Giao Company used to produce in Thu Duc district and this unit has just moved to Thuan Giao area to operate for about a month now.
