Approval of 72 billion VND for land clearance for Vinh Ancient Citadel moat.

(Baonghean.vn) - The project to renovate and upgrade the moat surrounding Vinh Ancient Citadel in Cua Nam, Doi Cung, and Quang Trung wards (Vinh City) has currently received approval from competent authorities for 72 billion VND in compensation for land clearance, with approximately 10 billion VND remaining to be approved.

According to news from Vinh City, the project affects 272 households. Of these, 195 households in Cua Nam ward have had their land expropriated; in addition, 28 households have been affected in terms of property and crops. Currently, 99 households have received compensation, while the remaining 28 households have not yet received compensation due to reasons such as low land prices, land origin and type, property division, and requests for resettlement land.

In Quang Trung Ward, 23 households had their land expropriated. Compensation plans for land clearance have been approved for 21 households, totaling over 14 billion VND. Of these, 18 households have received the money, while 3 households have not yet accepted it.

In Doi Cung Ward, 54 households had their land expropriated. The compensation plan for land clearance has been approved for all 54 households, totaling nearly 10 billion VND. 49 households have received the money, while the remaining 5 households have not accepted the plan, citing reasons such as low land and property prices and requesting resettlement land.

The city is expected to allocate approximately 100 resettlement plots for the project.
