The surgery to replace the ascending aorta and replace the aortic valve was successful after 7 hours.

Through echocardiography and CT scan, doctors determined that the patient had a very large thoracic aortic aneurysm with a diameter of up to 105 mm. The aneurysm was 116 mm long, not reaching the bifurcation of the brachiocephalic artery, common carotid artery and left subclavian artery with severe aortic valve regurgitation.

Surgical teamAscending aortic replacement and aortic valve replacement were performed.The surgery was successful after nearly 7 hours. The patient is currently in the recovery room, recovering well and stable.

Replacing the aortic root and aortic valve and reimplanting the coronary artery is a difficult technique that requires many factors to perform.
