Passenger plane missing on Paris-Cairo route
(Baonghean.vn) - A plane carrying more than 50 passengers on board disappeared from radar screens on the morning of May 19, while en route from Paris (France) to Cairo (Egypt), Egyptian airline Egypt Air reported, citing a well-informed source.

Accordingly, 59 passengers and 10 crew members were on board the flight. Meanwhile, information from Egyptian media agencies confirmed that the plane was carrying 58 passengers.
Egypt Air confirmed that it is “checking the data obtained”.
A source from an official providing information to Egypt Air said that the Airbus A320 with flight number MS804 took off from Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris at 23:09 GMT (6:09 Hanoi time), on the scheduled route to Cairo international airport.
According to Sky News Arabia, the plane last appeared in Greek airspace.
Egypt Air said the plane disappeared from radar screens nearly 10 miles before entering Egyptian airspace, at an altitude of 36 miles.

According to another source posted by the airline on Twitter, communication with the plane was interrupted from 00:45 GMT on May 19.
The airline has set up an emergency operations center to deal with the situation.
