At about 11:30 a.m. on May 8, at the intersection between National Highway 46B and Vinh City bypass, through Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, a traffic accident occurred between a truck and a sleeper bus.

At that time, Mr. Nguyen Thuc Tam (born in 1974, residing in Phong Thinh commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An) was driving a truck with license plate 37C-139.47 carrying sand on National Highway 46B in the direction of Nam Dan - Vinh city.

When the truck reached the intersection between National Highway 46B and Vinh City bypass, it collided with a sleeper bus of Hong Anh Ban Me Transport Company Limited with license plate 47B-012.09 driven by Mr. Truong Van Hoa (born in 1974, residing in Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak) traveling from North to South.

At that time, the sleeper bus carrying 25 passengers departed from Cam Khe bus station, Phu Tho to Kien Duc bus station, Dak Lak.

The strong collision injured 6 people in the two cars and they were taken to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment. Many of them suffered brain injuries.
