On June 27, District 5 Police, Ho Chi Minh City issued an emergency arrest warrant for four foreigners to investigate the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property."

The subjects include Guan Zao (male, born in 1970), Ke Qinying (female, born in 1964), Xie Yuqiong (female, born in 1972) and Zhang Huamei (female, born in 1969), all from Guangdong, China, residing on Ong Ich Khiem Street, Ward 10, District 11, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the police, on June 19, the four subjects went to Vietnam for tourism and met a subject named Chau (Vietnamese, unknown origin), who was invited by Chau to join the fraud group.

Using the trick of finding gullible people who believe in gods to cure illnesses, Zhou assigned Zhang Huamei to search for and get acquainted with the “prey,” Xie Yuqiong and Ke Qinying to introduce the “healer,” and Guan Zao to follow the “prey.”

Using this trick, on June 25, these subjects met Ms. DTMN (born in 1954, residing in Ward 12, District 5). After Zhang Huamei got acquainted, the two subjects Xie Yuqiong and Ke Qinying immediately introduced to Ms. N. that they had an uncle who was a healer and asked Ms. N. to bring her property to the healer to perform a spell.

Believing her, Ms. N. brought the group 5 million VND, 3 taels of SJC gold and a gold bracelet. At this time, Zhang Huamei took a plastic bag containing a bottle of water that he said was holy water, and asked Ms. N. to put her assets in the plastic bag. Taking advantage of her carelessness, the subjects swapped the plastic bag containing the assets with a similar plastic bag and gave it back to Ms. N.

After “completing the spell,” Ms. N. returned home and discovered that she had been scammed, so she reported the matter to the police. However, District 5 special criminal investigators discovered the suspicious actions and arrested the suspects immediately after they had taken Ms. N’s property.

Initially, the subjects confessed to their crimes. The case is being further investigated by District 5 Police, while the subject named Chau is being sought./.
