Nam Nhoong border commune bustles on early election day
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 20, in a joyful and exciting atmosphere, more than 249 voters from Na Khich and Pa Lau villages of Nam Nhoong commune (Que Phong) enthusiastically went to vote early for the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term.

In Na Khich village, constituency number 1 of Nam Nhong commune, the majority of the population is Thai ethnic group. From early morning, the villagers put aside their farming and family work to go to vote early.
On the roads leading to the polling stations, the distinctive colors of the Thai ethnic people's costumes create a colorful scene of mountains and forests, blending with the colors of the national flag, the Party flag, banners hanging on the roads, and the sound of loudspeakers announcing the election day, making the festival atmosphere even more bustling.

Nam Nhoong commune had nearly 2,000 voters who went to vote at 8 polling stations, including 2 early voting villages. Na Khich village had 3 voters who were unable to go to the polling station due to poor health or illness, so the polling team brought a supplementary ballot box to their home so that voters could exercise their right to vote.
By 9am on May 20, 99% of voters in Na Khich and Pa Lau villages had cast their ballots early. The polling stations were safe and in accordance with the law.
