(Baonghean.vn) - To help fishing households live in difficult conditions, on May 7, 2010, Thanh Chuong (Nghe An) started the "Fishing Village Resettlement Project" in Khe Mu, Thanh Thuy commune and Trieu Duong, Thanh Lam commune with a total capital of 83 billion VND.

This project was directly constructed by Dai Cat Thanh Joint Stock Company at No. 4, Hue Street - Hanoi, but after 6 years of implementation, the project is still unfinished.

a
Unused construction items have deteriorated.

According to the plan after the infrastructure construction, by early 2011, the project will hand over production land and residential land to 120 households living in Khe Mu area, Thanh Thuy commune and 45 households in Trieu Duong dam area, Thanh Lam commune on a total planned area of 420 hectares and each household will be supported with funding to build houses according to current state regulations. However, up to now, the project has not achieved its goal.

Apart from a small bridge to Khe Mu resettlement area which is said to be completed, the largest constructions of the resettlement area in Khe Mu are 4 houses with functions as cultural houses and an unfinished kindergarten.

a
The cultural house and kindergarten have been built in rough form. Currently, these houses are degraded and damaged, and the locals have fenced them off to raise cows.

Information said: after 2 planning adjustments, the total approved investment for the project is nearly 83 billion VND.

By the end of 2011, the investor had advanced the construction unit an amount of 42 billion VND. At that time, the advance exceeded the actual construction volume.

a
Until now, the project in Khe Mu is still a deserted area.

Faced with this reality, Mr. Phan Duy Trinh - Chairman of Thanh Thuy Commune People's Committee was indignant, saying that the project's slow progress eroded the trust of fishermen and the people. In addition, because this land is ownerless, many land disputes and social evils have occurred.

Mr. Le Dinh Thanh - Vice Chairman of Thanh Chuong District People's Committee said: The district has discussed many times with the investor, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An, the most recent time was in March 2016 to speed up the progress but so far it has not been implemented.

Like the housing projects, the electricity system has only been erected, but many of the poles are damaged and show signs of collapse. The entire land plots of the settlement area, nearly 300 hectares wide, are still very wild, with no signs of planning or leveling. The camps and wells at the construction site have collapsed, overgrown with grass.

Electric poles like coal marks along the roads leading to resettlement areas.
a
The picture of the 83 billion dong project is very offensive.

The prolonged construction of the project has made life even more difficult for hundreds of households who have always longed to settle on land.

And the local people and authorities still do not know when the project will resume. The picture of the 83 billion VND resettlement project becomes gloomy.
