From June 6, 2016, officers and soldiers in the entire People's Public Security Force (PPP) will implement new regulations on PPP uniforms.

After 9 months of research, design, improvement and improvement of the quality of uniform items, and organization of production of physical samples, the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security have approved and decided to select a new set of standard samples to replace some currently used samples that are no longer suitable. The commonly used uniforms that have been modified include: spring-summer uniforms, autumn-winter uniforms, cold-proof, rain-proof and sun-proof uniforms to support the performance of tasks; target protection uniforms, mobile police uniforms, rapid response police uniforms, fire prevention and fighting and rescue police uniforms, traffic police uniforms, conscript uniforms; public security ceremonial uniforms; and artistic performance uniforms. Accordingly, from June 6, 2016, officers and soldiers in the entire public security force will implement the new public security uniform regulations.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh said: "The new uniform of the People's Public Security Forces comes from the requirement of the People's Public Security Forces to ensure unity, stability, demonstrate solemnity, discipline, serve well the work of studying, fighting, training, meeting the requirements of work, fighting, training, and coaching of the People's Public Security Forces in the new situation".

Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh affirmed that this is a major policy of the Ministry of Public Security. In the coming time, the implementation process needs to review the legal corridor in the direction of having a common roadmap for production and use, with the criteria of unity, economy, efficiency, and compliance with the law. Functional units are responsible for implementing and guiding the Public Security of units and localities to use the new uniforms in accordance with the Public Security regulations; receiving research opinions, improving military uniforms for specialized forces and appropriate badges; organizing widespread propaganda on improving new military uniforms to create regularity, modernity, and a new appearance, meeting the requirements and tasks of the Public Security force in the current situation.
