In the spring crop of 2016, Nghe An Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company tested planting 30 hectares of pure rice variety - NA 6 in Tay Van hamlet, Nghi Van commune, Nghi Loc, with 212 households participating. According to the results of the model, this variety has the characteristics of a short growing period of 120-125 days, strong growth and development, good lodging resistance and pest resistance, wide adaptability on many types of land and is a rice variety with high tolerance to lemon leaf rust.

The number of grains reaches from 350 - 500 grains/flower. Through evaluation of the yield of pure rice variety NA6, it reaches from 7.8 - 8.2 tons/ha.
