This musician recounted the incident: the group of tourists called the banana seller to buy a bunch of bananas, then arbitrarily broke the bananas, ate them rudely, and threw the banana peels back at the seller's basket, looking very uncultured.
When the banana seller said the price was 40,000 VND, the Chinese man took out Chinese yuan and asked to pay in this currency. The banana seller refused to accept the yuan and the two sides argued for a long time. Finally, the customer offered 50,000 VND in Vietnamese currency, the banana seller gave him 10,000 VND in change, but the customers did not agree and bargained to not let the banana seller leave.

Revealing the real reason why Chinese customers deliberately harassed the banana seller: Just for 5,000 VND! |
After watching the clip carefully and listening to the group of tourists bargaining, it can be seen that the reason is that this group offered 35,000 VND for the banana bunch instead of 40,000 VND. Therefore, when the banana seller gave them 10,000 VND in change, they did not accept it and demanded another 5,000 VND before letting them go. One of the tourists even snatched the banana seller's hat, and another member stole a banana from the basket. "Only 35,000 VND. Don't leave yet," a woman in the group shouted loudly to the banana seller.
The viral clip made many netizens angry because they thought the group of Chinese tourists were too rude in making things difficult for the banana seller.
