(Baonghean) -Father passed away suddenly, mother was infected with Agent Orange.Overcoming that situation, Hoang Thi Chi at Thanh My Secondary School (Thanh Chuong)become a good child, good student, bedear friends and teachers.

Chi's family's small house is in Hamlet 8, Cat Van Commune (Thanh Chuong). Everyone in this hamlet knows Chi's circumstances because of the difficult circumstances, so the three siblings have to live in three places: the youngest, Hoang Tien Dat (born in 2014), was taken in by his uncle after his father passed away.

Chi was raised by her parents in Thanh Linh commune since 7th grade. In the family, there was only her middle brother Hoang Dinh Hieu (born in 2007) and her mother, who was affected by brain damage, one eye was blind and the other could only see dimly. She received Agent Orange benefits from her grandfather, a war invalid who fought against the US.

Chi's mother helps her children peel peanuts, even though she is blind in one eye due to the effects of Agent Orange.

Dad suddenly passed away, mom had to replace dad as the breadwinner of the family, take care of the farm, and take care of her elderly grandmother. Chi, the eldest sister, had to work and study to support herself, her mother, and her younger siblings.

Chi realized that she needed to study hard to be able to go beyond the bamboo fence of the village to the world of knowledge. Knowing that her family's circumstances were very difficult, Chi did not dare to ask her parents to buy her school supplies.

Being hard-working and diligent, from first grade to the end of middle school, Chi was always an excellent student. Chi's aunt knew that her sister was weak and the family was in a difficult situation, so she took Chi in to help her sister and also created opportunities for her to study.

Chi studies hard and is active in class activities.

Ms. Le Thi Minh Phuong - homeroom teacher of class 9A said that due to family circumstances, Chi was introverted and quiet, but in return, she was very diligent in studying and all class activities. In addition to achieving an average score of 9.3 in math, she also achieved excellent scores or higher in all other subjects. Last school year, Chi was an excellent student in all aspects. In class, teachers often set an example of overcoming difficulties to study well so that other students can try harder...

When asked about her dream, Chi said softly: "If I had one wish, I would want my mother's eyes to see more clearly, and my family to have less hardship so that the three of us can live under the same roof" and go to school every day.
