On the morning of June 24th, under the chairmanship of Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a working session to assess the implementation of the socio-economic plan for the first six months of the year; and to give opinions on several other important issues.

During the meeting, members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and leaders of several departments and agencies focused on assessing the implementation of the socio-economic development, national defense and security, and foreign affairs plans for the first six months of 2016. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - clarified the solutions to ensure the completion of the socio-economic plan for the last six months of 2016.

Members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and leaders of several departments and agencies also clarified the difficulties, limitations, and challenges to ensure the completion of the year's plan.

For example, in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, despite a favorable spring harvest, production value only increased by 4.22% in the first six months of the year. Meanwhile, weather forecasts for the last six months predict difficult conditions and drought, yet a 5% growth rate must be ensured. Similarly, industrial and construction production value increased by 9.39% in the first six months, while it needs to increase by 20.91% in the last six months.

Comrade Le Quang Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, clarified the challenges that need attention in implementing the socio-economic targets for the last six months of 2016.

Concluding this discussion, Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, emphasized: The tasks for the last six months of the year are very challenging, requiring all levels and sectors to take more decisive measures to ensure the completion of the set plan.

This includes addressing investors' proposals, ensuring projects are started and completed quickly and smoothly; and simultaneously handling public requests. It also involves directing the national high school graduation examination to be conducted safely and with high quality.

Implement a plan to review the total staffing levels throughout the province to study and propose the most effective solutions for streamlining personnel. Be more decisive in ensuring food safety and hygiene; continue to promote the socialization of the healthcare sector, especially in the procurement of high-quality medical equipment, reducing travel for citizens to central hospitals.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - affirmed that, in addition to addressing the proposals of investors, attention should be paid to resolving the requests of the people during the implementation of construction projects in the province.

The Provincial Party Secretary also noted that in building new rural areas, there should be no pressure, but rather a focus on reality to ensure substance and sustainability; encouraging communes with a solid foundation to achieve the goals, while the remaining communes should prioritize developing production and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
