Seized 7,000 duck eggs of unknown origin from Thanh Hoa to Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn)- On May 25, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station arrested a case of transporting 7,000 balut eggs of unknown origin.

Counting the number of confiscated Vietnamese eggs

While patrolling on National Highway 1A, through Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station inspected a car with license plate 36B-01900 driven by Le Van Bieu, residing in Trieu Son town, Thanh Hoa province.

All eggs have been transferred to Dien Chau Veterinary Station for destruction.

Upon inspection, the vehicle was found to be carrying 6 cardboard boxes containing 7,000 balut eggs. The driver was unable to produce documents proving the origin or quarantine certificate of the eggs.

The driver confessed that he had hired to transport these eggs from Thanh Hoa to Dien Chau Town for sale. Dien Chau Traffic Police Station seized all the eggs and handed them over to Dien Chau Veterinary Station for destruction according to the law.
