At 9:00 a.m. on June 5, My Khanh Commune Police, Long Xuyen City (An Giang), received a report that at Group 4, Binh Khanh Hamlet, My Khanh Commune, a particularly serious murder case had occurred, resulting in the death of 3 father and sons.

The victims were Nguyen Xuan Binh (31 years old, residing in Binh Khanh hamlet, My Khanh commune, Long Xuyen city), the owner of a construction materials store in the area, and his two children, Nguyen Ngoc Xuan Phuong (5 years old) and Nguyen Ngoc Xuan Anh (8 years old), who died.

According to initial investigation, recently, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh and Ms. Nguyen Le Thuy Hong (32 years old) had a conflict in their love life. Mr. Binh suspected Ms. Hong had another man.

In a fit of blind jealousy, Mr. Binh may have murdered his two children and then hanged himself. During the investigation, the police found a suicide note left by Binh before his death. A source said that Mr. Binh was a former player for the An Giang football team.
